Responsibilities

Position Outline:

The Operations Manager is responsible for the operational performance of construction projects in the DC Metro market and to support the growth and development of operations in the Mid-Atlantic. This position will provide planning and budgeting assistance to project teams. The Operations Manager will work alongside the Chief Operating Officer to review and assess past and current project performance to guide decision making as well as short- and long-term goals.

Responsibilities include: Coordinate and oversee multiple construction projects ensuring they are operating according schedule, budget and quality standards. Collaborate with project management teams to establish project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans. Ensure corporate policies, procedures and organizational structure on projects are followed. Lead and motivate team of project managers and site supervisors. Assist in the establishment and ensure compliance of operational short- and long-term goals. Act as the point of escalation for complex problems or issues that arise, assisting in the assessment of root cause and the resolution of the problems. Actively participate in internal project reviews and monthly PM meetings. Oversee project budgets and financial performance, monitoring expenditures and revenue streams to ensure profitability. Perform additional assignments as required by the organization or as directed by supervisor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction management plus 10 years of related experience• Budget development and oversight experience.• Experience in a strategic leadership capacity.• Knowledge of the Mid-Atlantic market.• Ability to pursue and acquire business.• Ability to manage a diverse team and identify potential markets for long-term growth.
